When your child is struggling and nothing seems to be changing, it’s time to look deeper.

You’ve tried reassuring.

You’ve tried encouraging.

You’ve spoken to school. Read the books. Tried the strategies.

You may have even tried therapy.

And yet somehow, you’re still here.

Your child is still struggling.

And you’re exhausted.

The Thinking Room is where we stop trying to manage what we can see - and start understanding what’s underneath it.

When your child is struggling and nothing seems to be changing, it’s time to look deeper.

You’ve tried reassuring.

And yet somehow, you’re still here.

Your child is still struggling.

And you’re exhausted.

The Thinking Room is where we stop trying to manage what we can see - and start understanding what’s underneath it.

This programme is different.

I don't just work with your child.

And I don't just tell you how to parent them.

I work with both of you.

Because your child doesn't exist in isolation.

Their anxiety, behaviour, relationships, experiences and emotional world all matter.

And so do yours.

Over three months, we create the space to understand what is really happening - and begin changing the patterns that have kept your family stuck.

The Thinking Room is for families who feel they've tried everything.

Perhaps anxiety has slowly taken over family life.

Your child is avoiding school, friends or things they once enjoyed.

You're constantly anticipating the next crisis.

You're questioning every decision you make.

You don't know when to push and when to step back.

And somewhere along the way, you've stopped trusting yourself.

You don't need another list of parenting strategies.

You need someone to help you make sense of what is happening.

Three months. One family. A different way forward.

The Thinking Room is my most intensive way of working with families.

For three months, I work closely with both you and your child.

Your child has their own therapeutic space.

You have your own space to think, understand and respond differently.

And between sessions, I stay alongside you as things unfold in real life.

Your Thinking Room includes:

  • 12 individual sessions for your child
A consistent therapeutic space to explore what is happening beneath their anxiety, behaviour and emotional distress.

  • 6 individual parent sessions
A space for us to think about your child, your responses, your family patterns and what may need to change.

  • WhatsApp access
So you're not left trying to work everything out alone between sessions.

  • Full access to the Breakthrough Anxiety Programme
Helping you understand anxiety differently and build a deeper understanding of what keeps it going.

  • Access to RESET
Additional support for the parent behind the parenting - because supporting an anxious child can take its toll on you too.

This isn't about fixing your child.

Your child isn't a problem to solve.

And I'm not going to give you a script and tell you exactly what to say every time they're anxious.

We are going to get curious.

About the anxiety.

About the behaviour.

About the patterns.

About what your child might be communicating.

And about what happens inside you when things become difficult.

Because when we understand more, we have more choices about what happens next.

This is deep work.

The Thinking Room won't be right for every family.

It requires openness.

Curiosity.

Honesty.

And a willingness to look beyond your child's symptoms and think about the whole picture.

That is why I don't offer places through a checkout page.

Every family applies.

I personally read every application before deciding whether The Thinking Room is the right place for us to work together.

Investment

£4,997

Three months of intensive therapeutic and parent support.

Places are deliberately limited because of the level of individual work involved.

You don't have to keep guessing.

If you've reached the point where managing the next anxious moment isn't enough, you may be ready to understand what is actually happening underneath it.

The application itself is reflective.

Take your time.

There are no perfect answers.

Just tell me honestly where your family is right now.

Completing an application does not commit you to joining The Thinking Room. It allows me to understand your family's circumstances and consider whether this is the right support for you.

Meet Charlotte Cook

Charlotte Cook is a qualified psychoanalytic psychotherapist who has spent over a decade working with anxious children, teenagers, and their parents.

But she didn't arrive at this work from a textbook.

As a young person, Charlotte experienced anxiety first-hand - the kind that professionals kept trying to reach by asking 'why.' They couldn't get to it, and neither could she. She genuinely didn't know why she felt and behaved the way she did.

It was only when one teacher chose to let her simply be - providing consistency, clear limits, and genuine presence - that things began to shift.

That experience is at the heart of everything Charlotte teaches. She built the Breakthrough Programme because she knows, from both sides, what it feels like when nobody has the right framework. And what becomes possible when they do.

Charlotte is a qualified psychoanalytic psychotherapist based in Newport, South Wales, where she works with children, teenagers, and their parents through The Thinking Pod.

"Professionals always asked me 'why'. I'd inevitably get the answer wrong. I genuinely didn't know why I felt or behaved as I did. Until one teacher just let me 'be' - boundaries were put in place and consistency was implemented. Only then things started to shift."
